Welcome To The Lore, Stories For Storytellers
“Sometimes reality is too complex. Stories give it form." Jean-Luc Godard
Hello and welcome to the very first edition of ‘The Lore - Stories for Storytellers’ from me, Neal Moore, and the Moore’s Lore Media team.
You may recall that in the ‘before times’ I used to send ‘Moore’s Lore Monthly’, a common-or-garden newsletter to let you know what we’d been up to each month. But the new normal requires a new approach and this is it. But what is it exactly?
Well, if you’re a marketer, communicator or creator you are likely in the business of telling stories and creating content for your customers, your audience or simply your own pleasure. And if you’re anything like us, you are always looking for ideas, insights and advice on how to do more of that, better.
That’s what The Lore is for!
Why should you stay subscribed?
I’ve opted you in because I know you but if you volunteer to stay subscribed we’ll send you one weekly, one monthly and one occasional email as follows:
The List is sent every Saturday with something new for storytellers to read, watch, look at, listen to and do each week to improve their craft - plus some news too.
The View comes out on the last Thursday of every month and features an op-ed on a current industry issue or trend for you to gain a new perspective on.
The Lesson includes occasional insights from the Moore’s Lore team about what they've seen, heard, tried or learned lately.
And that’s it. If you want Moore (see what I did there?), you can download the free Substack app on iOS or Android to comment on Posts, follow our Notes, join our Chats and discover loads of other brilliant storytellers including the likes of Rory Sutherland, Tom Goodwin and Hattie Crisell. Give it a try!
Oh, and if your inbox is overwhelmed and you need to create some head space then don’t feel bad, just unsubscribe at the bottom, we are ardent advocates of self-care and mental health management.
For those willing to stick it out with us in search of new story ideas and inspiration - we’ll see you Saturday! Neal, Fil & Mia (& Jane in Taiwan).
